Die internationale Tagung wurde von dem Lemelson Center der Smithsonian Institution Washington, dem Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft
und dem Europäischen Zentrum für Staatswissenschaften und Staatspraxis Berlin veranstaltet. Ziel der Tagung war der Vergleich
der Effekte von Haushaltskürzungen in den Forschungsetats auf Qualität und Stil der Forschung. Die Ergebnisse der Tagung liegen
